Oslo, Norway — Elliptic Labs’ AI Virtual Proximity Sensor INNER BEAUTY^® is shipping on the HONOR 500 and 500 Pro smartphones, bringing reliable AI-powered proximity performance while enabling cleaner front-facing designs and reduced hardware complexity.

The HONOR 500 and 500 Pro smartphones are available globally.

To deliver this experience, HONOR is utilizing Elliptic Labs’ AI software on Qualcomm’s chipsets:

HONOR 500: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4
HONOR 500 Pro: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite

By replacing traditional hardware sensors with a software-only approach, HONOR gains greater flexibility in industrial design and the ability to streamline internal components — while maintaining robust proximity performance for calls and everyday use.

Elliptic Labs announced the contract for this deployment in March 2024, and shipments are now underway.
