Elliptic Labs Executive Recognized as Change Agent with Exceptional Visionary Leadership Skills

San Francisco, CA — Elliptic Labs, innovator in sensorless proximity and 3D gesture control, announced that Laila Danielsen, CEO, was named a winner in the 20 Women to Watch in Business for 2017 by the Sales Lead Management Association (SLMA). The award recognizes sales experts who demonstrate uncommon expertise, commitment, and leadership in the field of sales lead management.

A serial entrepreneur and transformational leader with expertise in enterprise software and technology, Danielsen is known for building focused teams, driving change, brokering high-powered deals and successfully bringing to market emerging technologies for Fortune 500 companies and Silicon Valley start-ups. Since joining Elliptic in 2013, Danielsen's mission has been to reinvent the way people interact with consumer electronics and disrupt smartphone design.

Working in the highly competitive consumer electronics market in Asia, Europe and the U.S., Danielsen brought Elliptic Lab's technology to the fastest-selling smartphone in China. In addition to building a powerful 40-person international team, Danielsen continues to secure ample private funding for the company while also expanding Elliptic Labs' global footprint, opening offices in San Francisco, Beijing and Shanghai.

Her reputation as a powerful negotiator helped the company broker successful deals and partnerships with top-tier enterprises such Qualcomm, Xiaomi, Samsung, Cirrus, Murata and Knowles Electronics.

SLMA's core mantra is, "If you cannot manage sales leads, you cannot manage sales." The association's Advisory Committee, which determined the winners, is comprised of leading sales professionals who understand the discipline of sales lead management.

"Laila is an outstanding leader. She has a hard-earned reputation for helping companies transform their marketing organizations into successful revenue centers," said James Obermayer, SLMA's founder.

"Elliptic Lab's sensorless proximity solution, powered by ultrasound, is disrupting smartphone design by enabling bezel-less screens — it is behind today's larger screen size of 91.3%. As we go forward, we are going to see a lot more devices following this new smartphone design trend using Elliptic Lab's technology," said Laila Danielsen, CEO, Elliptic Labs. "But, let's face it: You can have the greatest core technology ever made, however, unless you employ a successful sales and marketing strategy, the world will never know about it."

Danielsen is also behind INNER PEACE™, a new technology advance that takes presence detection to new levels and is aimed at the fast-multiplying market for intelligent personal assistants and similar devices. She also launched the world's first SDK for 3D gesture interaction powered by ultrasound. Elliptic Labs' sensorless proximity technology, INNER BEAUTY® is behind the world's first, bezel-less smartphone: the Xiaomi Mi MIX.
